From late 2007 to 2008 I worked as Lead Programmer at Radon Labs on the NDS port of the vet practice management game Paws & Claws: Pet Vet - Australian Adventures. It was published by dtp young entertainment (DE) / THQ Valusoft (NA).
Together with colleagues on the game and engine programming side we tackled the challenge of porting a PC game to a handheld gaming platform like the NDS. Some elements of the game had to be completely replaced and rewritten for NDS to ensure a good player experience. Delivering the project on time and budget and bringing it through Nintendo’s certification with minimal friction was an interesting challenge.
